Our certificates – 
making commitment visible

This certificate was developed specifically for properties that do not have any green space or where upgrading is not possible. It is also suitable for properties that are in the planning phase and are to be awarded the “Get Nature Positive Premium Certificate” once the green space has been completed.

• Calculation of the new nature area required to compensate for your sealed areas of your property.
• Planning and implementation of the new nature area in cooperation with local partners.
• Technical support for local partners by Get Nature Positive to ensure the best possible quality.
• If desired: visibility and communication of your commitment via our channels (web, social media).
• Ensuring the long-term existence and required quality of the new nature areas through regular monitoring over 25 years.
• Independent certification – auditing by a certification body for transparency and credibility.

One-time payment of CHF 20.- per square meter of nature area or
individual area compensation subscription

The payment includes

• the cost of creating the new nature areas (use of machinery, plants, seeds, other materials, and the project partners' fees),
• all services provided by Get Nature Positive,
• monitoring of the new nature areas over 25 years.

Validity period

The Get Nature Positive certificate is valid for 25 years.
This means that Get Nature Positive guarantees the quality and preservation of the new nature areas for a period of at least 25 years.

Scope of validity

Get Nature Positive certificates always refer to a specific property and not to the entire company or its products.

1.  No protected habitats or species populations will be destroyed during construction.
2.  The sealed area will be completely offset by new nature areas.

Requirements for the new nature areas:  

• The new nature areas are located in Switzerland.
• The size of the new nature areas corresponds to 120% of the sealed area. This includes a time factor that takes into account the fact that the newly created habitats often only reach their full ecological value after 5–10 years.
• The natural areas will be created by Get Nature Positive together with local partners.
• Compensation through natural areas implemented by the investor/builder themselves is also permitted.

• Expert advice – support in the planning of biodiversity measures within a defined scope.
• Monitoring & support as your partner – quality assurance in the first two years after certification.
• Independent certification – review by certification body for transparency & credibility.

3. The property's surroundings achieve the required ecological quality of Ø 3.0 biotope values.
4. The redesigned surroundings are ecologically more valuable than the original state (Δ 0.5 biotope values). If the quality of the surroundings already amounts to Ø 4 biotope values or more, no upgrading is required.

• The size of the new nature areas corresponds to 120% of the sealed area. This includes a time factor that takes into account the fact that the newly created habitats often only reach their full ecological value after 5–10 years.

Certification regulation
